Kathy Marin Collins grew up in the Pacific Northwest and
expresses her appreciation of the area's natural beauty
through her impressionistic paintings. She uses a rapid
process technique for painting dramatic high contrast
watercolors. By charging in color and mixing flowing wet
paint right on the paper, Kathy achieves intense dark values
while preserving white spaces.
Kathy’s award-winning paintings have been juried into
shows nationwide, purchased by corporate and private
collectors throughout the country. and been featured in
Watercolor Artist Magazine, The Artist’s Magazine, and
Splash 10, a North Light publication.
She is a Signature Member of the Northwest and the
Montana Watercolor Societies and Women Painters of
Washington. Kathy is also a physician, bicycle enthusiast,
and part-time fashion model.
