Sometimes we just have to paint! I am still suffering effects of my recent pneumonia and am very tired. But I usually have enough energy to paint one watercolor a day. The above piece was inspired by a sketch of a Maui street done last year. Because I was fatigued and “brain fogged” I hurried through the painting. But when i looked at it later, liked it for its looseness.

Sometimes connecting disparate parts of a painting with a watery brush stroke will result in something we like, But sometimes not. I did another painting after this one that I immediately tossed. So go figure!
