For the past year or so i have been experimenting with watercolor and collage in new ways. Now I am excited to present my work on my new website! My son, owner of bluharmonix, a website design and support company, created the site. You can find his website here or contact him at greg@bluharmonix.com
Like any change it may take some getting used to, I have branched out to using collage in my work and have recently sliced and diced old paintings and repurposed them into new designs. Sometimes I have framed the pieces under glass in the traditional watercolor method, or have glued my work onto boards so that they can be framed without glass.
This painting, entitled “Ahead of Time” will feature in the juried show at Seattle’s Art Institute, opening Saturday, May 7th 2-4PM as part of the Seattle Co-Arts exhibit.
Congrats to you and your son on the new website, which is quite professional looking. I prefer your blog postings where you discuss what you’re trying and what you’re thinking about, rather than just alluding to them. Congrats on your new show entries. Good luck. I am trying to do some more abstract painting, some trying to bring in my medical background.
Thanks for your comments Diana
Now that I have experimented over the past year with the new techniques I plan to start blogging more in depth on the how-to (see “events” for my workshop on Slicing and Dicing coming up June 25th!)
